11th Annual Anacostia River Festival Service

Beta Zeta Chapter will volunteer at the 11th Annual Anacostia River Festival on May 17, 2025. The breakdown of volunteer time slots is as follows:

Early Morning Event Prep: 7:00 AM – 10:00 AM

Event Prep: 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM

Festival Support: 12:00 PM – 4:30 PM

Festival Breakdown: 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM

We have reserved 10 slots for our seasoned Sorors who may prefer activities that allow for more sitting. If you know of anyone else who may need accommodations, please let Soror Laticia Taylor (laticiataylor1920@gmail.com) know, and she'll try to adjust assignments as needed.

We’d also love to capture a moment together, so we’re planning to take a group photo at 12:30pm just before the event.

Set along the Anacostia River in the heart of Anacostia Park, festival-goers will experience the vibrant spirit and cultural depth of Black Washingtonians. Through live musical performances, a curated marketplace, and historical exhibitions, we aim to honor and uplift the many cultures that shape the Black experience in Washington, D.C. This year’s festival promises an unforgettable journey through the sounds, stories, and traditions that make our community so unique. We invite you to join us in celebrating this powerful cultural legacy.
