The application for the summer 2021 Exelon Foundation STEM Leadership Academy is open until April 25, 2021. The Academy is open to 10th and 11th grade young ladies in the District of Columbia, Maryland (Prince George’s County, Montgomery County, Baltimore area), Northern Illinois and Philadelphia.
Background: the summer 2021 Exelon STEM Leadership Academy is a free, week-long, residential* program for 10th and 11th grade young ladies interested in STEM. The Academy is designed for the participants to learn from women working in STEM and other leaders; explore sustainability, energy efficiency, renewable energy, and climate change; and connect with like-minded peers. The Academy concludes with an energy challenge and an opportunity to win great prizes. Each participant will also receive an iPad to use for Academy activities and to take home at the end of the week.
Young ladies who are interested in STEM, in grades 10 and 11 (class of 2022 and 2023), and reside in the District of Columbia, are encouraged to apply before April 25, 2021.
